Re-union of Makins family

Andrew,

I believe you are in touch with my cousins son Stephen Benbow, his mother is Ruth Makins, my name is Jenny daughter of Reginald Makins, sister to Nigel.

I met up with Ruth this weekend and also my cousins Elizabeth and Jane daughters of Dorothy Makins, and we would like to arrange a Makins family re-union next June in Norfolk. What are your thoughts and would you be willing to come on board and get members of the Makins family from London to join in?

My cousin Elizabeth has done a lot of research into the Makins family tree and we were looking through all her work at the weekend. Now our sons and daughters are like you, interested in knowing more about the family history and would like to meet members of the family. No doubt Stephen or Elizabeth will be in touch with you at some time about this

Anyway give it some thought and let us know what you think.

Regards,

My cousins and I are researching a John Makins, a seaman who married our great aunt Charlotte in 1886 in Sydney, Australia. We believe there were two male children from the marriage before he died in 1900 at a Quaranteen hospital in Sydney. We will have more information soon as we are close to contacting his descendants in Sydney. We assume he came to Sydney from the UK, and we are hoping to get his birthplace and parents name.

Forum: General Discussion Board
